My apartment has a mystery stench that floats through the a/c vents approximately once every few months, overstaying it's welcome for about half an hour. It reminds me of a mixture somewhere between dead animal and sewage.
The arrival directly correlates with the air flow when the ac is on, and yes, I've checked the pilot light. There is no way this smell is a natural gas leak.
Right now I'm just thankful it didn't show up for the Prayer and Praise we hosted recently(phew!).
Any ideas?

This probably won't help, but I think it's I-10.... every month to 2 months we get that smell at our place too. Stinkin highway!
